The Terason uSMART has only a linear high frequency probe (small parts). It is ideal for vascular access, nerve blocks, identifying foreign bodies and joint aspirations. The uSmart tablet is kept in the equipment room opposite T16 where it should be plugged in at all times.
Remember to use a probe cover when performing procedures where the probe can be contaminated with blood/bodily fluids. See section on caring for the machine found in the Sparq section for further information about cleaning and maintenance of the probes.
